Sound of Celtic Woman to captivate Mohegan Sun audience18 December 2007UNCASVILLE, Connecticut -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- Irish music phenomenon Celtic Woman brings their unique blend of Celtic melody and modern song to Mohegan Sun Arena. Celtic Woman has been hailed as "Riverdance for the voice" and their captivating music has soared to record-breaking heights on the Billboard World Music chart. Now, Mohegan Sun audiences can witness the magical rhythms that have transcended international boundaries. The show will be held on Friday, March 14, 2008 at 8:00pm at Mohegan Sun Arena. Tickets are $60.00 and $45.00 and are on sale now through Ticketmaster. Celtic Woman has achieved international success since the airing of their PBS Television performance in 2004. The Irish ensemble has enriched popular music with their fusion of Folk, Pop, and Classical influences. In 2005, Celtic Woman released their self-titled debut album which reached #1 on Billboard's World Music chart. The album held the #1 spot for an incredible 68 weeks breaking a previous long-standing record.
