Soboba Casino heist suspects arrested

CALIFORNIA -- As reported by the Press-Enterprise: "The suspected mastermind of last week's heist of a reported $1.5 million from Soboba Casino was arrested near Los Angeles International Airport wearing a wig, carrying a passport and "trying to go out in style" on a cocaine high, Riverside County sheriff's officials said Monday.

"Rolando Luda Ramos, 25, of San Jacinto, a casino surveillance technician, was taken into custody about 3 a.m. Saturday at the Executive Inn on El Segundo Boulevard near the airport. He was booked without bail into the Southwest Detention Center in French Valley on suspicion of armed robbery, false imprisonment, kidnapping and battery with injuries and is scheduled for arraignment at the Southwest Justice Center on Wednesday.

"The suspected getaway driver, Eric Alan Magdaleno Aguilera, 23, of Hemet, was arrested Friday and booked into the Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility in Banning on suspicion of kidnapping, robbery in concert, false imprisonment and battery with injury.

"...Aguilera's girlfriend also was arrested Saturday. Sonya Salas, also known as Sonya Boyorquez, of San Jacinto, was booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center in Riverside on suspicion of robbery in concert and being an accessory.

"...Riverside County Assistant Sheriff Patrick McManus said Salas helped plan the robbery but had no money with her when she was picked up at her San Jacinto home, where detectives were led after questioning Aguilera..."
