Snowstorms hurt Borgata casino earnings3 March 2010ATLANTIC CITY, New Jersey -- Borgata Hotel Casino lost $5 million because of a December snowstorm, The Press of Atlantic City reported. Boyd Gaming expect to lose more money in the first quarter on account of further snow weather events, the report explained. The Borgata will face competition from the introduction of table games in nearby Pennsylvania and is concerned about talk of putting VLT's at Meadowlands racetrack in Northern New Jersey, The Press of Atlantic City report noted. |
