Smoking ban hits gambling numbers9 July 2007AUSTRALIA -- As reported by the Sun Herald: "Hotel gaming-machine takings have slumped by up to a third just one week after the introduction of new statewide smoking laws. "A survey by the Australian Hotels Association of 42 members found that gaming machine takings had fallen between 10 and 30 per cent among the pubs.
