Slot Revenue Boosts Connecticut Casinos' Win

CONNECTICUT – As reported by the Connecticut Day: "Slot machine revenue at Connecticut's two casinos grew in December despite stormy weekends and the public's preoccupation with the holidays.

"Mohegan Sun won $66 million from its customers, who played a total of $817.8 million into its 6,220 machines. The win increased by 6.3 percent, year-over-year, and handle, or total amount played by slot customers, grew 2.3 percent.

"…Foxwoods won $54.7 million from slot players, who pumped $671.2 million into its 6,648 units. The casino win increased .57 percent over the previous December and its handle grew by 2.5 percent.

"…Foxwoods' monthly contribution to the state was $13.6 million in December, and Mohegan Sun paid $16.5 million. Each casino has contributed more than $100 million during the current fiscal year, which began in July."
