SkyCity to close several properties in Australia

17 August 2021

(PRESS RELEASE) -- SkyCity advises that, from 11.59 pm today, it will be closing its Auckland, Hamilton and Queenstown casino and entertainment facilities. SKYCITY Auckland hotels will remain open to accommodate existing guests currently staying in-house, pending further advice from the New Zealand Government.

These measures have been implemented in response to the announcement by the New Zealand Government earlier today that, following a new case of COVID-19 in the Auckland community, the COVID-19 Alert Level will increase to Alert Level 4 in New Zealand. It is expected that the Auckland and Coromandel regions will be in Alert Level 4 for a period of seven days and the rest of New Zealand will be in Alert Level 4 for a period of three days.

The SKYCITY Adelaide property is unaffected by these latest restrictions in New Zealand and remains open with physical distancing and hygiene requirements already in place.

SkyCity still intends to release its result for the financial year ended 30 June 2021 on
25 August 2021.

SkyCity will provide further updates as new material information becomes available.
