17 March 2020

Sky Ute Casino Resort in Ignacio, Colorado announced in a 17 March Facebook post that it will close for 30 days:

"Citing the recommendations of various public health experts regarding the virus known as COVID-19, the Southern Ute Indian Tribe announced that it would close portions of Sky Ute Casino Resort for approximately 30 days. The temporary closure begins tomorrow, March 18, 2020, at 8 a.m. Mountain Daylight Time (MDT).

The temporary closure applies to Sky Ute Casino, Rolling Thunder Grill, Rolling Thunder Lanes, Seven Rivers Bingo Hall, Seven Rivers Steak Seafood Spirits and Shining Mountain Cafe.

The hotel and its restaurant, Willows Café Bistro, will remain open until further notice. Willows Café Bistro will operate from 6AM–7PM, seven days a week. The hotel fitness center and pool will be closed.

Tribal leaders will monitor developments regarding the virus to assess the exact reopening date.

Thank you for your ongoing loyalty and friendship. Together, our future is bright."
