Skanska to construct casino in Texas, USA, for $46.5 million23 May 2012ÖSTERSUND, Sweden -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- Skanska has signed a contract with the Kickapoo Traditional Tribe of Texas to construct a hotel and expand and renovate its existing casino in Eagle Pass, Texas. The contract value is USD 46.5 M, about SEK 314 M, which will be included in the order bookings for Skanska USA Building in the second quarter. The project includes the addition of about 17,000 square meter, 250-room hotel facility with restaurants, retail space, meeting rooms and a fitness center, as well as the 7,400 square meter renovation and expansion of the existing casino facility. Construction for the project will begin in June 2012 and is expected to complete by August 2013.
