Singapore to Form Casino Exclusion Panel31 October 2005SINGAPORE -- As reported by Channel News Asia: "Family members can possibly apply to have a loved one banned from the casinos even before the integrated resorts start operating. "The National Council on Problem Gambling will be forming a panel to assess such exclusion order towards the end of 2007. "And it says the public will make up two-thirds of the panel. "…For those who can't afford to gamble or those who just can't stop, the exclusion order by family members to have them banned from the premises, as spelt out in the Casino Control Bill, might just offer a precious lifeline. "These applications will be assessed by a panel of three based on criteria that are still being worked out…" |
