Singapore: Malaysian man stole casino chips

SINGAPORE -- A man who stole chips at Resorts World Sentosa casino has received a $2,000 fine, The Strait Times reported.

The 57 year old man stole 5 chips from a 57 year old woman by pretending to her friend they were his friends chips, the report said.

CCTV footage showed him stealing the chips, The Strait Times reported.

He could have faced a three year jail sentence for this crime, the report noted.
