Singapore: Korean fined for bringing win out of country10 November 2010SINGAPORE -- A South Korean man has been fined for attempting to take his 7 million dollar win home without declaring it, Strait Times reported. Kim Woo Yeong, 28, was arrested at the airport in August without the appropriate certificate to take the winnings out of the country, the report said. Yeong was fined 30,000 Singapore dollars, but the cash taken from him on arrest will be returned to him, Strait Times noted. |
