Singapore Exec Jailed for Cheating Banks2 April 2004SINGAPORE – As reported by the Go Asia Pacific: "In Singapore, a former finance manager with one of Asia's largest brewers has been sentenced to 42 years in jail for cheating German and Japanese banks out of $US70 million. "Chia Teck Leng, 44, who worked with Asia Pacific Breweries (APB), which makes Singapore's famous Tiger beer, had pleaded guilty to eight charges of cheating and six charges of forgery.
