Singapore Casinos May Create 3,400 Rooms

SINGAPORE -- As reported by the Bloomberg: " The republic's two casino-resorts may generate 3,400 hotel rooms and 100,000 sq m of retail space, according to estimates released by the National Development Ministry yesterday.

"The actual supply of hotel rooms and retail space would depend on the final concepts and designs submitted by the selected developers, the ministry said in a statement.

"Las Vegas Sands Corp, which is among 14 firms the government shortlisted for proposals for its casino-resorts, said on Wednesday it planned to build an 832-room hotel, a convention centre and an arena if it won the right to operate a casino in Singapore…"
