Singapore: Casinos keep courts busy23 June 2010SINGAPORE -- Singapore's new batch of casinos are keeping the local courts occupied, Bloomberg reports. Incidents of fraud, embezzlement and theft have resulted in prosecutions, Bloomberg said. While some convictions have resulted in fines or imprisonment, Singapore was prepared for the increase in crime with the arrival of the casinos, Bloomberg added. |
