Sinai Casino to Open in December

ISRAEL – As reported by the Haaretz: "The Hilton Taba hotel is expected to start operating its casino and some of its rooms by December following a suicide bombing at the site at the beginning of October that killed about 30 people, many of them Israeli.

"'The hotel was scheduled to open on December 1, but the renovation is taking longer that expected,' said Benny Shavit of Regina Tours, a travel agency that markets hotel rooms in Sinai.

"Only a handful of Israelis are traveling to Sinai today. n 2003, some 320,000 Israelis traveled to Sinai; and from January to October 2004, more than 350,000 Israelis visited the peninsula…"
