Silver Slipper Needs Commission's Approval15 March 2005MISSISSIPPI – As reported by the Biloxi Sun Herald: "The Silver Slipper needs approval from the Mississippi Gaming Commission before it can take over gambling operations at the President Casino in a deal that is supposed to coincide with the transfer of ownership at the President. "The Gaming Commission will have to call a special meeting for that to happen, which a spokeswoman for the state agency called 'a very real possibility.' "The soon-to-be new owners of the President Casino Broadwater Resort -- Roy Anderson III, W.C. Fore and the Dezer Development Group -- plan to sell their gambling barge and replace it with a bigger casino. "…Silver Slipper plans to have the barge towed to Hancock County. The Gaming Commission meets Thursday in Jackson, but the proposal between Silver Slipper and Broadwater Development is not on the agenda…" |
