Silver Slipper Casino wins three national marketing awards7 August 2013HANCOCK COUNTY, Mississippi -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- Silver Slipper Casino was awarded three Romero Awards during the recent Casino Marketing Conference, held July 23-25 in Las Vegas. The Slipper placed Gold in the Online Marketing category for their “Mudbug Madness” promotion, and received Honorable Mention in the Casino Floor Promotion category for “Pick-A-Rose” and Honorable Mention in the VIP Promotion category for their “Galloping Dominoes” promotion. The Romero Awards honor gaming operators for their excellence in marketing based on effective, measurable and accountable promotions and expenditures. The award is named for casino marketing pioneer and author John Romero, who heads up a panel of experts, each year, to select winners in several categories. “We’re extremely proud of our Marketing Team for being recognized for such a prestigious award,” stated John N. Ferrucci, General Manager for Silver Slipper Casino. “They were up against some very tough competition. It’s good to see their hard work being recognized by the casino marketing industry.” The “Pick-A-Rose” promotion was held on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2013, during which over 100 long-stemmed roses, with prizes attached to the stems, were given away, including the Grand Prize, a Cruise for Two. Patrons deposited their entry tickets into the drum and an entry was drawn every 30 minutes from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. for winners. After the final half-hour drawing, another drawing was held for a second chance to win a cruise. There were over 100 winners, with two Grand Prize Winners. |
