Siena's back taxes due today to Nevada Gaming Commission

23 July 2010

RENO, Nevada -- Today could see The Siena Hotel Spa Casino closed down by the Nevada Gaming Commission, The Reno Gazette reported.

The Siena has failed to pay back taxes of $154,000, the report said.

Siena owner Barry Ng said he is trying to negotiate a deal with other gaming operators around casino management, that would input some money into the property, Reno Gazette reported.

Last month the property laid off 35 workers and closed down the table games, The Reno Gazette noted.
