Shun Tak name used in scam

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia – (PRESS RELEASE) -- It has come to the attention of Shun Tak Holdings Limited ("Shun Tak"), a public company based in Hong Kong, that Third Parties pretending to be employees of Shun Tak have been telephoning intended Victims in Malaysia (and possibly elsewhere):

-- telling the Victims that they have won a Lucky Draw operated by Shun Tak;

-- referring the Victims to a fake Shun Tak website which has details of the fake Lucky Draw and a contact number in Hong Kong;

-- requesting the Victims to provide personal details including their bank accounts so that the "prize monies" can be deposited into the Victims' bank accounts.

The purpose of this Clarification Announcement is to advise the public that:

-- Shun Tak is not currently undertaking a Lucky Draw anywhere in the world and has reported the incident to the relevant police authorities;

-- if you receive a phone call claiming you have won a "Shun Tak Lucky Draw", it is untrue and intended only to defraud you. You should not disclose your personal details, including that of your bank account, to such caller;
