Showboat reopens guest rooms in celebration of Atlantic City's rebirth21 June 2018(PRESS RELEASE) -- The Showboat is excited about the openings of its neighbors, the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino - Atlantic City and Ocean Resort Casino. So much so that owner Bart Blatstein announced today he is re-opening all of the hotel's rooms. When he reopened the hotel in July of 2016 he reopened with 852 oceanfront rooms and suites. Now all 1,331 rooms and suites will be open just in time for the two new casino openings on 28 June. Blatstein is confident that the resurrection of the former Taj Mahal and Revel properties, along with Stockton's new Atlantic City campus, will enliven the boardwalk and attract new guests to Atlantic City. “This is an exciting time for us – Tower Investments has embraced the opportunity of investing in Atlantic City and we've expressed faith in the resort's renaissance when other investors were running away," said Blastein, President and CEO of Tower Investments. "We're thrilled to bring the Showboat back to life. So far we've been extremely successful in hosting meetings and conventions and now look forward to welcoming more guests to this iconic hotel." Along with opening more rooms, the Showboat is excited to announce new food and entertainment management and venues, including: Nobil On The Ocean – Nobil Catering owners Norm Imber and Bill McGinnity, and Lou Freedman, owner of the well-known local Margate restaurant, Bocca, have formed Nobil On The Ocean. Laid-back and family-friendly, all three concepts will serve appetizers, pizzas and other casual eats along with cocktails, beer and wine. Worship Surf Bar is also now serving alcohol on the boardwalk. The restaurant and bars are intended to bring back life to the northern end of the boardwalk offering food and fun to visitors and casino workers.
