Sheffield United Still Considering Casino Plan3 May 2005UNITED KINGDOM – As reported by TEAMtalk: "Sheffield United have announced they have not dropped plans to build an £80m casino at Bramall Lane. "The ambitious proposals, first revealed in August in partnership with Las Vegas Sands, were dealt a blow when the Government decided to keep the current Gambling Bill intact. "…Due to widespread protest the Government opted to approve just one site for the time being, believed to be in Blackpool, but United vice-chairman Terry Robinson insisted the project was still being pursued…" |
