SEVEN Bar to feature "Beer for Breakfast"

26 August 2013

WEST SILOAM SPRINGS, Okla. (PRESS RELEASE) -– Four strangers walked into a Tyler, Texas, bar in 2009 and left as JB and the Moonshine Band. Since that fateful day, the band has been climbing the country music charts.

On Sept. 13 at 10:30 p.m., JB and the Moonshine Band will play a show at SEVEN Bar, located inside Cherokee Casino & Hotel West Siloam Springs. Nashville's Dusty Hundley will begin the night's free entertainment at 7 p.m.

"My 3-year-old son, Parker, is the reason this band exists," said JB Patterson. "Because when I learned I was going to be a father, I knew I wanted to be able to tell him he can be whatever he wants to be as long as he sets his mind to it and works hard. But I realized there was something I had wanted to do that I never had the guts to try being a singer/songwriter. And I thought to myself, if I'm ever going to tell my kid that he can be whatever he wants to be, then I'd better at least give this a shot."

Patterson, Gabe Guevara, Hayden McMullen and Chris Flores joined forces immediately after meeting at an open call audition held by Patterson in 2009, forming a country music alliance that has rocked the country.

JB and the Moonshine Band's debut album, "Ain’t Goin' Back to Jail," featured songs such as "Whiskey Days," "Missin' You Again" and "Perfect Girl," which soon became the fastest-rising debut single in 2010 and the No. 1 most requested song on XM Nashville 11, with over 2,300 digital sales a week. The music video for "Perfect Girl" peaked at No. 7 on CMT Pure's 12 Pack and was featured for multiple months on the show. It was later nominated for CMT's Top 30 Videos of 2011.

JB and the Moonshine Band's sophomore album, "Beer for Breakfast," was released on March 6, 2012. The album debuted at No. 4 on iTunes Country Albums on the day of its release, also reaching No. 31 on Billboard's country chart, No. 31 on Billboard's independent albums and No. 7 on Billboard's Heatseekers Chart.

In 2011, JB and the Moonshine Band were nominated for two awards at the Texas Radio Report Awards for Best Video and Best New Group.
