Senator: More Gambling Interests in Arkansas

GRAVETTE, Arkansas – As reported by the Arkansas Democrat Gazette: "There may be more interest in gambling proposals in the state this year, state Sen. Kim Hendren, R-Gravette, said Tuesday.

"A group has expressed interest in putting another gambling proposal on the state's 2006 ballot, and he wouldn't be surprised if they do so, Hendren said.

"Whatever voters decide about future gambling proposals, he hopes they are more deliberate about those proposals than state lawmakers were in expanding gambling in two locations during the 2005 state legislative session, Hendren recalled Tuesday…"
