Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open announces Big 4 winners

(PRESS RELEASE) -- For the 11th consecutive year, the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open concluded with the crowning of The Big 4 champions at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood.

Unique to South Florida, The Big 4 is a collection of four tournament finales that feature staggered structures, timed so the events play down simultaneously. This year’s four primary events boasted combined prize pool guarantees of $4.75 million. With 1,143 entries in Big 4 events, the total cash payouts topped more than $5 million.

The quartet of winners earned nearly $1 million, with Joe McKeehen winning the SHRPO Championship and claiming $462,600. This year’s SHRPO Championship drew 673 total entries, boasting a total prize pool of more than $3.3 million.

SHRPO Championship Final Table Results:

1st: Joe McKeehen (Plymouth Meeting, Pa.) – $462,600 + SHRPO Trophy

2nd: David Greufe (Jacksonville, Mo.) – $390,804

3rd: Loni Hui (Tamarac, Fla.) – $250,000

4th: Eddie Pak (Los Angeles, Calif.) – $188,000

5th: Frankie Rivera (Bushkill, Pa.) – $142,000

6th: Dan Chalifour (Spofford, N.H.) – $108,000

7th: Jose Nadal (Alicante, Spain) – $83,000

8th: Robert-Andrei Burlacu (London, England) – $65,000

9th: Darren Rabinowitz (Las Vegas, Nev.) – $51,000

The other Big 4 winners include:

- Justin Zaki (Tampa, Fla.)–won the $25,500 High Roller NLH for $391,550
- Mehmet Siginc (Calgary, Alta.)–won the $3,000 Deep Stack No Limit Hold’em for $92,017
- Jay Jay Wilson (Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.)–won the $1,100 Deep Stack No Limit Hold’em for $42,682

This year’s SHRPO kicked off with the $400 Deep Stack No Limit Hold’em (NLH), which had 5,069 entries. The event nearly doubled its $1 million guarantee for a final prize pool of more than $1.6 million. Winner Joseph Duchman (Miami Beach, FL) was awarded the title and cashed for $144,758.

Raminder Singh became the first player in series history to win four trophy events during a single festival, extending his all-time Seminole Hard Rock lead to 20 career tournament victories. Just one day later, Jean Laurent captured his fourth trophy of the series, matching Singh's newly established mark and further cementing his place among the most successful players in Seminole Hard Rock Poker history.

For the first time in our history, five women won a trophy event:

- Melanie Hochman (Boynton Beach, Fla.) - $600 Mixed Triple Draw
- Esther Petiote (Miami Beach, Fla.) - $400 Triple Stack Black Chip Bounty
- Loni Hui (Tamarac, Fla.) - $800 Pot Limit Omaha 8
- Maria Hernandez (Miami, Fla.) - $1,100 Deep Stack NLH
- Michelle Ceglarek (Miami, Fla.) - $400 Black Chip Bounty NLH
