Seminole Gaming names new COO

FLORIDA -- As reported by the Tampa Bay Business Journal: "Seminole Gaming has a new COO.

"John J. James has been named to the post. He has overall responsibility for the operations of the Seminole Hard Rock Hotels & Casinos in Tampa and in Hollywood, as well as Seminole Casinos in Coconut Creek, Hollywood, on the Immokalee Reservation near Naples, on the Brighton Reservation northwest of Lake Okeechobee and on the Big Cypress Reservation south of Lake Okeechobee.

"...James' earlier gaming and resort experience includes the Regent Las Vegas, Boomtown Las Vegas Resort, Four Queens Hotel & Casino, Gold River Casino Resort and Bally's Las Vegas, the tribe said.

"James is a graduate of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas where he earned an accounting degree, the release said.

"The appointment comes at an energized time for gaming in Florida..."
