Seminole Casino in Brighton makes holiday wishes come true27 December 2015(PRESS RELEASE) -- Santa and Seminole Casino - Brighton made wishes come true for some of its guests and local charities this season while helping spread the word of the true meaning of the holidays. Acting as Santa's elves, casino hosts have been listening closely this year to learn about guests and their individual interests, hobbies, families and Christmas wishes. Then, in November, Santa visited the casino lobby for two days bringing holiday cheer to each player that walked into the casino. While there, he asked guests what they would like for Christmas. The casino's Christmas Wish event culminated on Dec. 14 by granting wishes and giving gifts to a group of invited guests at a cocktail reception and buffet dinner. Santa was there to distribute gifts and a holiday choir serenaded everyone with songs of the season. One of the requests Santa heard was for a charitable donation to St. Jude's Children's Hospital. Another guest wanted to see her brother from Chicago over the holidays. With help from Seminole Casino - Brighton, Santa was able to make these heartfelt wishes come true. Santa gave an all-expenses paid trip to Punta Cana, a PGA golf outing and a guided fishing expedition to some of the other guests at the reception. The event included the presentation of $5,000 to The Arc (Ridge Area). Along with the donation, Seminole Casino - Brighton sponsored a float for The Arc in the Sebring and Okeechobee Christmas Parades. The Arc's mission is to serve and advocate for individuals with developmental and other disabilities, so that they may have the opportunity to realize their goals. Seminole Casino - Brighton continued making spirits bright by holding a donation drive for the Highlands County Humane Society where players and employees donated food and other pet necessities. Donations are still being accepted for the Loving Our Heroes Care Packages Program. Contributions of snacks, toiletries, and other helpful items will be delivered to those deployed overseas this holiday season. |
