Seminole Allowed to Reopen Casino9 March 2004OKLAHOMA – As reported by the Native American Times: "The Seminole Nation has received permission to resume gaming. "The tribe shut four casinos down on June 14, as NIGC fines continued to spiral, eventually totaling over $11 million. The tribe was penalized for offering illegal Class III games and subsequently had to lay off 240 workers. "NIGC head Phil Hogen said Friday that the tribe could restart gaming at their Mystic Winds Casino located at their I-40 facility.
