Scottish Casino Proposals Expected to be Approved28 November 2003SCOTLAND, United Kingdom -- As reported by the Scotsman: "Controversial proposals to turn part of the amusement centre at Aberdeen's Beach Boulevard into a casino are expected to be given the go-ahead by city council planners next week. "John Codona Pleasure Fairs is seeking approval for plans to change the use of a substantial part of the company's Miami Beach amusement centre into a casino. "The area which would be turned over to gambling is currently used as a pool hall and as a centre for virtual reality and simulator games. "Bob Reid, Aberdeen City Council's head of physical development, is recommending that the development be approved at next Thursday's meeting of the planning committee…" |
