Scientific Games, Idaho Lottery sign deal

20 July 2007

NEW YORK -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- Scientific Games (Nasdaq: SGMS) announced it has been awarded a two-year contract as the primary vendor to supply instant tickets and related services to the Idaho Lottery. The contract was awarded through a competitive procurement, is expected to generate approximately $4.5 million over the two-year term, and includes options to extend for two, three-year terms.

"The Idaho Lottery is a new customer for Scientific Games and we look forward to building a partnership for years to come. We plan on using our portfolio of innovative instant ticket games to reach and maintain a higher level of sales, which will help to maximize the funds available for Idaho public schools and their permanent building fund," said Lorne Weil, Chairman and CEO of Scientific Games.

"Working with Scientific Games provides us the ability to continue our tradition of offering high quality instant tickets in a secure fashion at an affordable cost," stated Jeff Anderson, Idaho Lottery Director. "We look toward this relationship as an opportunity to grow both of our businesses."

In fiscal 2007, the Idaho Lottery generated $130.5 million in sales, of which $83 million was from instant tickets. To date the Idaho Lottery has returned $367 million for K-12 education and the state's Permanent Building fund.
