20 July 2007

NEW YORK -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- Scientific Games (Nasdaq: SGMS) announced it has been awarded a two-year contract as the primary vendor to supply instant tickets and related services to the Ohio State Lottery. The contract was awarded through a competitive procurement, is expected to generate approximately $14 million over the two-year term, and includes options to extend for three (3) additional two-year periods (not to extend beyond June 30, 2015).

"The Ohio State Lottery is one of the largest in the United States and has been a great customer for many years standing," said Lorne Weil, Chairman and CEO of Scientific Games. "We work hard on both our new contracts and our bids for renewal, and appreciate the vote of confidence from one of our most important customers."

"In our experience, Scientific Games continues to be the standout in the instant ticket business," said Michael Dolan, Director of the Ohio State Lottery. "They offer a unique combination of game quality, variety and the ability to deliver high volumes quickly and we are looking forward to continuing to grow our lottery with them."

In fiscal 2007, the Ohio Lottery generated $2.3 billion in retail sales, of which more than $1.355 billion were from instant tickets, and returned $669 million to the state. Since 1974, total Ohio Lottery profits have generated more than $15 billion for public education.
