Schools Start Programme to Educate Students About Dangers of Gambling15 May 2006SINGAPORE -- As reported by Channel News Asia: "Schools have launched an anti-gambling initiative called HUG aimed at students. "HUG stands for 'Handling Underaged Gambling', a programme put together by Saint Andrew's Lifestreams and the WE foundation. "In August, 50 teacher-facilitators will take to schools and engage about 10,000 students on the finer points of gambling. "More specifically, they will speak about gambling's causes, warning signs, and cures..." |
