Saskatchewan Casino Plans Move

17 February 2006

REGINA , Saskatchewan – As reported by the Saskatoon Star Phoenix: "A plan worth more than $20 million is in the works to move the Painted Hand Casino into a building to be constructed in the west end of Yorkton within two years.

"'It could vary between $21 (million) and $22 million,' Yorkton Tribal Council Chief Gilbert Panipekeesik said Thursday.

"…The Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Authority (SIGA) has signed a first-party agreement with the Yorkton Tribal Council to begin the project, said Pat Cook, vice-president of corporate affairs for SIGA…"
