Saratoga Gaming and Raceway Celebrates 2nd Anniversary30 January 2006SARATOGA SPRINGS, New York – (PRESS RELEASE) -- Saratoga Gaming and Raceway will celebrate its Second Anniversary of operation on January 28, 2006 and to commemorate the occasion has hosted a full month of special promotions giving away over $200,000 in cash and prizes. Additionally, a three-day Anniversary Weekend celebration is planned January 27-29 featuring a FREE embroidered winter hat giveaway and 2006 Cadillac SRX drawing. "Saratoga Gaming and Raceway has come very far in the past two years and we are very grateful to our patrons who have made us a success," said Daniel Gerrity, Saratoga Gaming and Raceway President. "Every day brings new excitement and life to our operation and I am delighted to be celebrating our Second Anniversary." The Anniversary Weekend celebrations will begin on Friday, January 27 with two Double Dollars drawings where Player Extras Club members can win up to $2,000. On Saturday, January 28 the first 1,000 players to enter the gaming facility will receive a free embroidered winter hat and Club members will have another two chances to win up to $2,000 at two additional Double Dollars drawings. All weekend long guests can enjoy 2 for 1 food specials in the Food Court and on Sunday, January 29 at 5:00 p.m., the 2006 Cadillac SRX drawing will be held. Saratoga Gaming and Raceway has experienced many changes and successes in the first two years of operation including: the opening of the gaming facility; the addition of video poker machines; total yearly purses for live races tripling to nearly $10 million; complete renovation and opening of Fortunes restaurant; maximum capacity of stall space being reached; introduction of progressive games to the gaming floor; the largest individual video gaming jackpot awarded in New York State of $195,700 on a nickel game; FREE coffee, tea, water, juice and soda beverage service on the gaming floor; hosting of the New York Night of Champions race; Free Summer Concert Series; and much more.
