Saratoga Gaming and Raceway Celebrate First Anniversary

SARATOGA SPRINGS, New York – (PRESS RELEASE) -- Saratoga Gaming and Raceway celebrates its First Anniversary of operation on January 28, 2005 and to commemorate the occasion is hosting a full month of special promotions giving away over $100,000 in cash and prizes. Additionally a three-day Anniversary Weekend celebration is planned January 28-30 featuring a FREE embroidered fleece scarf giveaway and 2005 Chrysler 300 drawing.

"This first year has been an extraordinary experience for all those associated with Saratoga Gaming and Raceway and we are very grateful to our patrons who have made us a success," said Daniel Gerrity, Saratoga Gaming and Raceway President. "It was just a little over two years ago when all this was a dream, and to now be celebrating our First Anniversary is phenomenal." The Anniversary Weekend celebrations will begin on Friday, January 28 when the first 2,000 players to enter the gaming facility will receive a free embroidered fleece scarf and throughout the day all patrons can enjoy free coffee and soda on the gaming floor. Special $1 food and beverage items will be available all weekend long and on Sunday, January 30 at 3:00 p.m. the 2005 Chrysler 300 drawing will be held.

Jamie Hartman, General Manager at Saratoga Gaming and Raceway added, "The past year has furnished us with unforgettable moments and vibrant memories with our players, and we are looking forward to creating even more in our second year." Some plans for 2005 include the renovation and reopening of the property's full service restaurant, continuously offering innovative promotions and drawings with unique prizes, the addition of new and popular game titles, and a remarkable calendar of events and bands for the party tent.

Other January promotions offered are: Win $1,000 on select Fridays and Saturdays where players that are also members of the Player Extras Club can enter to win $500 cash, if they are present for the drawing at 10 p.m. the money is doubled and they win $1,000; Spin & Win on Sundays between 12:00 and 8:00 p.m. gives players the chance to spin Saratoga Gaming and Raceway's prize wheel for instant cash and prizes ranging from five times points to $100 cash; $1,500 Calendar Cash is held on the last day of the month and awards one winner $1,000 and five additional winners with $100 each, all the players have to do is drop off their monthly Player Extras Club mailer to a representative at the Club. The first gaming facility to open in New York State, Saratoga Gaming and Raceway boasts over 1,300 state-of-the-art video gaming machines, a full service restaurant with buffet, three full-service bars, a food court and deli, a gift shop, and a variety of guest services including valet parking and coat check. Patrons can also participate in our player rewards program, Player Extras Club while visiting the property. The 55,000 square foot gaming floor cost $15 million to construct and employs an additional 300 local residents.

Saratoga Gaming and Raceway is located on Crescent Avenue in Saratoga Springs, NY. Operating hours for the gaming facility are 10 a.m. to 2 a.m., seven days a week.
