Sands Says Does Not Need Singapore Ally For Casino7 December 2005SINGAPORE -- As reported by Reuters: "Las Vegas Sands Corp., the world's biggest casino operator by market capitalisation, said on Wednesday it does not need a Singapore partner for its bid to build the city-state's first casino. "Singapore is seeking formal bids from international casino companies such as Las Vegas Sands and Harrah's Entertainment Inc. in an effort to attract more tourists and boost economic growth. "...A spokeswoman for the company later added that the company was still in talks with possible partners but declined to name them. "...The government said last month that a local partner was not a requirement for a bid to be considered.
