Salem casino referendum approved13 March 2013SALEM -- Salem's casino referendum was approved by 80 percent of voters yesterday, the Union-Leader reported. The referendum concerned a proposal to expand gaming at Rockingham Park, the report said. The resounding approval for the referendum highlighted the general fear that casino dollars would be spent elsewhere if not in Salem, the Union-Leader report said. |
