SAHARA Las Vegas launches SAHARA Cares16 November 2019(PRESS RELEASE) -- SAHARA Las Vegas joined the fight against breast cancer through its new philanthropic and employee volunteerism division, SAHARA Cares. In its first-ever community partnership under the new brand name and resort leadership, SAHARA team members held fundraisers, donated money and participated in the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk, held Sunday, 27 October, raising more than $7,000 for the cause. Throughout the month of October, team members held bake sales, purchased items through a resort sale and donated money, placing in the top 10 for highest team donation during the annual walk. The efforts were all part of the launch of SAHARA Cares, the resort’s employee-led corporate responsibility program aimed to support community-minded organizations and nonprofits that help elevate southern Nevada and benefit those in need. |
