Saganing Eagles Landing casino results reported29 April 2008STANDISH, Michigan -- As reported by the Bay City Times: "New figures show Arenac County's Saganing Eagles Landing Casino raked in more than $17 million in profits during its first 90 days of operation. "Now, the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe, which owns the gaming hall near Standish, plans to give away about $350,000 of that money to local schools and governments. "'It was our expectation that we wouldn't have enough (to give away) by the end of March, but as it stands, we have about $347,000 to share,' said Frank Cloutier, a spokesman for the Mount Pleasant-based tribe. "...While the tribe only announces total revenues to its own membership, the 2 percent distribution works out to a net profit of $17.35 million in the first quarter..." |
