Russia to target online gambling

In 2009 Russia restricted land based gambling to special zones, and now the government has internet based gambling within sight, the report said.

A bill that essentially makes online gambling illegal in Russia has been proposed, The Moscow News said.

Among the things the bill contains are a plan to fine people caught gambling online 500- 2000 roubles, the report noted.
