Ruffin reveals Wichita casino idea

WICHITA, Kansas – As reported by the Wichita Eagle: "Phil Ruffin wants to build a casino in downtown Wichita and have Donald Trump run it.

"Ruffin, the billionaire owner of Wichita Greyhound Park, owns the New Frontier Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas and is a partner with Trump in two luxury condo towers there.

"…Ruffin's desire for a downtown casino is one of many half-formed casino deals swirling around the downtown area.

"…News of the proposal provoked surprised laughter at the Health Foundation, as well as a sober response from communications director Chris Power.

"…So far, Ruffin's wish is more of an idea than a real proposal. He first has to overcome some big obstacles…"
