Rota investors express interest25 February 2008ROTA, North Marianas -- As reported by the Marianas Variety: "Four prospective investors have expressed interest in opening a casino on Rota, Rep. Victor B. Hocog disclosed on Friday. "But he said the Rota municipal government has yet to finalize the composition of the island casino commission, which will administer and formulate rules and regulation for the gaming industry. "...Sen. Paul A. Manglona, R-Rota, said there have been initial talks with prospective casino investors. "The establishment of casinos on Rota will help boost the economy of the island and the CNMI, Hocog said..." |
