Rock Yard features tribute bands29 July 2008INDIO, California -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- The Rock Yard, the desert's premier, no-cover, outdoor concert venue presents a weekend of tributes featuring hard driving classic rock music as the cover band, Triple 7 performs, Friday, August 1st and Cheap Thrills's tribute to 60's music icon, Janis Joplin, takes the stage on Saturday, August 2nd. Based is Southern California, the members of Triple 7 have entertained hundreds of classic rock fans at the during the past season. Their high energy performance and dynamic set list includes classic hits from many of the most well known rock bands from Aerosmith to Led Zeppelin. After Ringo Starr and the All-Starrs leave the Special Events stage, make sure to come over to the and party the night away with Triple 7. The music kicks off at 9pm. The members of the Janis Joplin tribute band, Cheap Thrills continue to wow audiences where ever they perform. Fronted by lead vocalist, Lori-An Ryan, Cheap Thrills includes bassist John Lawler, guitarists Steve Courtney and Mike Sutton, drummer Doug Clawson and keyboardist Michael Forbes. Cheap Thrills take the audience back to a time of musical freedom and expression, that's been missing from today's music scene. Experience as Cheap Thrills presents their renditions of "Take Another Little Piece of My Heart", "Cry, Baby" and "Me and Bobby McGee." Opening the show on Saturday, August 2nd will be standouts, 'Taxi Wisdom.' Showtime is 9pm.
