Robert R. Williams named VP of Gaming Operations for Live! Casino & Hotel Louisiana10 December 2024(PRESS RELEASE) -- Cordish Gaming Group, the gaming division of The Cordish Companies, proudly announces the promotion of Live! Casino executive Robert R. Williams to Vice President of Gaming Operations for the highly anticipated Live! Casino & Hotel Louisiana. Scheduled to open in Bossier City in the first quarter of 2025, this $270+ million world-class venue will be the first land-based casino in the Shreveport-Bossier market. With over 30 years of experience in gaming and management, Mr. Williams is responsible for the implementation and execution of all casino operations for the newest Live! property. He brings a wealth of knowledge as a proven leader to manage the daily operations of Table Games, Slots, and the Sportsbook. Mr. Williams will also establish standards of performance, quality, and customer service for the departments under his direction. “Robert’s knowledge of casino operations will be instrumental to our success as we introduce the Live! Casino brand in Louisiana,” said John J. Chaszar, Executive Vice President and General Manager of Live! Casino & Hotel Louisiana. “He embodies the Live! mission and is focused on setting the stage for the premier gaming and entertainment destination in the region.” Previously, Mr. Williams served as Vice President of Slot Operations and Guest Services at Live! Casino & Hotel Maryland, where he was responsible for overseeing all aspects of slot operations, ensuring adherence to guidelines and policies, and driving both employee and guest satisfaction to deliver a superior guest experience. Prior to joining the Live! team, Mr. Williams held leadership positions at various casino properties in Biloxi, Mississippi. Live! Casino & Hotel Louisiana is expected to generate significant economic benefits, including $35 million in gaming tax revenues for Bossier City and over $168 million for the state of Louisiana within the first five years of operation. It will also create 750 new permanent gaming and hospitality jobs, approximating $34 million in salaries, wages and tips. Upon opening, Live! Casino & Hotel Louisiana will unveil more than 47,000-square-feet of state-of-the-art gaming space, including more than 1,000 slot machines and 40 live action table games, a sportsbook, and a luxurious 550-room hotel with a resort pool and fitness center. The property will also include a 25,000-square-foot Event Center for top-tier entertainment and conventions, and 30,000 square feet of premier dining and entertainment options, showcasing nationally acclaimed concepts including The Prime Rib® steakhouse, Sports & Social, PBR Cowboy Bar and Luk Fu, and Ridotto Grand Café. |
