Rivers Casino Schenectady's April promotions29 March 2019(PRESS RELEASE) -- Guests at Rivers Casino & Resort Schenectady will have a chance to win up to one million dollars every weekend throughout the month of April during the Where in the World Winnings springtime promotion. Throughout April, Rush Rewards members can earn points on slots, video poker and table games for entries into the Where in the World Winnings drawings. Guests will receive one entry for every five points earned from 1 April through 27 April, and new Rush Rewards members will receive one entry into the drawings upon sign-up. On each drawing day, Rush Rewards members must activate their entries at a Promotional Kiosk between 6 p.m. and 9:15 p.m. Drawings will be held at 9:30 p.m. every Friday and Saturday throughout April. During each drawing, five guests will be selected to choose a displayed money bag to reveal cash or free slot play prizes. One money bag is guaranteed to reveal 1,000,000 cash in an undetermined international currency. The guest who revealed the 1,000,000 cash will then select an envelope from a drawing drum to reveal which international currency they will receive their 1,000,000 cash prize in. For example, if the guest selects Japanese yen, their prize is equivalent to 10,000 U.S. dollars and if they select United States dollars, they win $1,000,000 cash. Winners will have three minutes to claim their prize and must be present to win. Additional promotions and events include: Gaming promotions and giveaways $25K Rivers Blackjack Series – Guests who play 5+ rated hours each week from 24 March – 14 April at eligible table games will be invited to participate in the following week’s Blackjack Tournament preliminary round and play to win their share of $5,000 cash and a spot in the final round. Weekly preliminary rounds will be held on 6, 13 and 20 April with the final round on 27 April 2019. The top two players from each preliminary round, and at least 1 wild card player drawn on 27 April, will participate in the final round, where they will play to claim their share of $10,000 cash. New Rush Rewards Member Promotion – Rush Rewards members who sign up throughout the month of April, will be able to choose between an instant prize of $10 free slot play or risking that instant prize to take 500 units of a mystery international currency for their chance to take home prizes ranging from $5 to $500 free slot play. All new Rush Rewards members will also receive one free entry into the Where in the World Winnings drawings and an instant $10 Match Play coupon. Friends with Benefits – Throughout April, current Rush Rewards members who bring in a friend to join the Rush Rewards program will receive $10 in Free Slot Play instantly. Senior Days – Young at Heart – Every Monday in April, Rush Rewards members ages 55 and older will enjoy free valet parking from 6 a.m. to 11:59 p.m., free live entertainment at Van Slyck’s from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., an unlimited soup & salad lunch special for $9.99 at Dukes Lounge from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m, and a complimentary regular coffee or fountain drink at Villa Italia between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. Guests will receive an entry into an exclusive slot tournament between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m., where the 10 high scorers will split $5,000 Free Slot Play – double the usual prize amount! Guests may also book a one-night $55 hotel stay on Monday or Sunday each week, based on availability and exclusions. Food and beverage Easter Buffet – On Sunday, 21 April, from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., guests are invited to enjoy a gourmet Easter brunch buffet at the Rivers Casino & Resort Schenectady Event Center. The delicious buffet includes bagel, omelet, crepe, salad, and chilled seafood specialty buffet stations; a carving station; decadent dessert displays; a chocolate fountain and more. The buffet is $39 plus tax and gratuity for adults, $19 for kids ages 4-12, and free for children 3 and under. Kids under 12 will also receive a free Easter gift, while supplies last. Coors draft for $9.99 in Van Slyck’s from 12 p.m. through 8 p.m. The special will be available on Saturday, 6 April and Monday, 8 April. National Beer Day Draft Special – On Sunday, 7 April, from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Van Slyck’s and from 10 a.m. to 12 a.m. at Dukes Lounge, a $2 draft special on Mad Jack beer will be available in honor of National Beer Day. $2 Draft Specials – Throughout April, a $2 domestic draft beer special will be available at both Dukes Lounge and Van Slyck’s bars during operating hours. Events and entertainment Psychic Medium Katie Manning – On Tuesday, 2 April, Psychic Medium Katie Manning will be performing two shows, at 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., at the Rivers Casino & Resort Schenectady Event Center. Schenectady native Katie Manning has sold out over 10 shows at Rivers Casino & Resort Schenectady since 2018. Show No. 1 on this date is sold out. Cage Wars 41 – A night of high-energy, intense MMA fights, is returning to the Rivers Casino & Resort Event Center on Saturday, 6 April. Following five previous sold-out competitions, Cage Wars 41 will feature over 12 local/regional amateur fights and 2+ world title fights. Doors open at 5 p.m. and the first fight starts at 6 p.m. Tickets start at $50 and can be purchased online or at the Proctors Theater Box Office. Albany Patroons Basketball Team Meet & Greet – Friday, 19 April from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Van Slyck’s, guests will be able to meet players and coaches from the Albany Patroons Basketball team. The Patroons will sign autographs and take photos, and guests can receive free tickets to a home game. Tusk Concert – Friday, 19 April, Rush Rewards members will be treated to the ultimate Fleetwood Mac tribute show when Tusk hits the stage at the Rivers Casino & Resort Schenectady Event Center. The show is free and exclusively for Rush Rewards members. Rush Rewards membership is free and available to all guests over the age of 21. All Rush Rewards members may receive 1 complimentary ticket at the Rush Rewards Center on the day of the show. Limited first-come, first-served seating will be available. Doors open at 7 p.m. and the show starts at 8 p.m. MOPCO Improv Comedy Dinner – Tuesday, 30 April, MOPCO, the former residential improv company at Proctors Theater, and voted the Capital Region's best in comedy three years in a row and counting, will entertain guests with a hilarious live performance at the Rivers Casino & Resort Schenectady Event Center. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and entertainment begins at 7 p.m. Dinner will be served during the show and includes a house salad with balsamic dressing; classic chicken parmesan with pasta marinara; and Italian cookies and pastries for dessert. Coffee, tea and soft drinks will also be served. Tickets are $30 and are available online or the Proctors Theater Box Office. There is no cost to join Rush Rewards, and members earn points for their slot play and table game play by inserting their card into the slot machine or presenting it to table games dealers before starting the game. The more points earned, the more reward benefits members will receive.
