Rivers Casino Schenectady announce October promotions29 September 2017(PRESS RELEASE) -- Rivers Casino & Resort Schenectady is celebrating everything October has to offer with an Oktoberfest celebration with Sam Adams brewery, $20,000 worth of giveaways during Columbus Day weekend, and a Halloween bash to end the month. Guests can celebrate Oktoberfest at Rivers on Friday, 6 October with Sam Adams, food specials and music by the Bavarian Brothers. The event will be highlighted by a stein hoisting competition for a trip for two to the Sam Adams brewery, a pair of tickets to a Boston Bruin hockey game, a Sam Adams cooler and a brew kit. Oktoberfest will take place from 6 to 10 p.m. on the patio. Rivers Casino will be giving away $20,000 in cash and free play over Columbus Day Weekend. On Sunday, 8 October, every hour from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m., four guests will win $250 in Free Slot Play. At 8 p.m., three winners will win $500 cash, and at 9 p.m. one winner will win $2,500 in cash. On Monday, 9 October, every hour from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. four winners will win $300 in Free Slot Play, and at 6 p.m. three winners will win $500 cash and one winner will win $2,500 cash. Rivers will end the month on a high note with a Halloween Party in Van Slyck's on Saturday, 28 October. Details on drink and food specials, entertainment and costume contests to come. The Rush Rewards member who earns the most tier points playing slots or video poker during the month of October will drive home in a brand-new Nissan Versa. One tier point is earned for every $5 in slot wagers and every $10 in video poker wagers. Rake in $25,000 – From Sunday, 1 October through Saturday, 21 October, guests will earn one entry for every 10 points earned. From 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. on 21 October, five winners will win $500, and at 10 p.m. one lucky winner will walk away with $10,000 cash. Jackpot Winner Drawings – From 1 October through 26 October, guests who hit the jackpot playing slots or video poker will earn an entry into a drawing drum for a chance to win up to $5,000. On Saturday, 28 October from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., four winners each hour will be randomly selected to win $250 in free slot play. If they are present, their earnings will double. At 8 p.m., two winners will randomly be selected to have their highest jackpot, up to $5,000, matched. Grand Slam Drawings – On Friday, 20 October and Friday, 27 October, during every hour from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., three winners will be chosen to team up for baseball. Each team member will choose a baseball from a tub of popcorn. The baseballs have baseball terms on them, and team members will continue choosing until they receive three outs. This live band karaoke event features live music from The High Rollers, with Rivers guests on the vocals. Every Thursday, from 6 to 8 pm. $1,000 All-In Trivia – It takes two brains to win the games. Trivia in Van Slyck's entertainment lounge is on Wednesdays from 7 to 9 p.m. There is no cost to join Rush Rewards, and members earn points for their slot play and table game play by inserting their card into the slot machine or presenting it to table games dealers before starting the game. The more points earned, the more reward benefits members will receive.
