Rivers Casino Pittsburgh to host Chevy Chase30 August 2024(PRESS RELEASE) -- Rivers Casino Pittsburgh has a “fun, old-fashioned family Christmas” planned for holiday movie lovers. On the 35th anniversary of its original release, actor and “Saturday Night Live” legend Chevy Chase brings a special screening of “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation” to the North Shore on Friday, 29 November. Tickets for this unique watch party begin at $39 and are on sale now at RiversCasino.com. The screening and Q&A with Clark Griswold himself, aka Chevy Chase, will be held in The Event Center starting at 7 p.m. Chase is known for his breakthrough performance on the first season of “SNL.” Along with Lorne Michaels, as the head writer, Chase co-created the template for the longest-lasting TV sketch comedy show in history. Best remembered for movie titles such as “Foul Play,” “Caddyshack” and “National Lampoon’s Vacation,” the prolific actor also starred in the comedy films “European Vacation,” “Fletch,” “Spies Like Us,” “Three Amigos,” “Funny Farm,” “Modern Problems” and, last but not least, “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation,” one of his biggest hits. “It’s a rare occasion to screen a classic film in the company of its iconic star,” said Shannon Redmond, vice president of marketing at Rivers Casino Pittsburgh. “A ‘Christmas Vacation’ rewatch is a family tradition for many people, and this year, Pittsburghers have the opportunity to join the film’s 35th anniversary celebration.” |
