Rivers Casino Pittsburgh members volunteer at Hosanna House31 May 2023(PRESS RELEASE) -- Team Members from Rivers Casino will be spending community service hours at the Sherwood Event Center location on Sherwood Road in Wilkinsburg, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, 31 May. Volunteers will primarily be relocating a portion of fencing approximately five feet from where it currently stands. Since the early 1990s, Hosanna House has gathered people and resources together with a single purpose in mind—ending a life cycle of poverty and helping individuals and families reach their maximum potential. The Hosanna House offers a long list of programs and services that empower families and individuals to discover, acknowledge and develop their maximum potential physically, spiritually, and economically. "Hosanna House is always so appreciative of the support Rivers Casino’s Team Members offer,” said Gloria Nelson, development director at Hosanna House. Rivers Gives is the casino’s long-running community outreach program, in which casino staffers report to work at a local nonprofit instead of the gaming floor. This is the seventh day of service at Hosanna House by the Rivers Gives team in recent years. “Our Rivers Gives volunteers are looking forward to rearranging some outdoor fencing on the Hosanna House property,” said Rahmon Hart, director of community relations at Rivers Casino. “The team at Hosanna House is doing nothing but amazing work for our community, and that doesn’t go unnoticed.” |
