Rivers Casino & Resort to receive first delivery of slot machines5 December 2016(PRESS RELEASE) -- Rivers Casino & Resort Schenectady team members will unload the first commercial slot machines to ever arrive in New York's Capital Region on the morning of 6 December at 9 a.m. One hundred slot machines will be off loaded Tuesday, the first of the 1,142 slot machines that will be installed on the casino's 50,000-square-foot gaming floor. Rivers Casino & Resort Schenectady General Manager Mary Cheeks will break the regulatory seal on the tractor-trailer carrying the machines, which were manufactured in Las Vegas. Rivers Casino & Resort Schenectady will open to the public on 8 February 2017. "This is yet another milestone in bringing this $330 million gaming and entertainment destination to New York's Capital Region, and it's an important one," said Mary Cheeks. "With the completion of construction on the horizon, there are hundreds of construction workers on site at any given time. Additionally, we are in the process of hiring our team members who will ensure Rivers gives guests a superior experience." |
