Rivers Casino & Resort Schenectady hosting a plethora of events in February and March

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Guests will experience the amazing tastes of Mardi Gras with a Cajun buffet, a very special ladies night out during the Little Black Dress Party, the Yellow Brick Road tribute show featuring the classic hits of the legendary Elton John, and the 60’s surf songs of the Beach Boys during the Still Surfin’ dinner show at the Rivers Casino & Resort Schenectady Event Center in February and March.

Tickets to the Mardi Gras Cajun Buffets and The Little Black Dress Party go on sale Monday, 6 January at 10 a.m. Tickets for the Still Surfin’ dinner show go on sale Thursday, 9 January at 10 a.m. and are available at the Proctors Theater Box Office in Schenectady. Yellow Brick Road, a tribute to Elton John, is free and exclusively for Rush Rewards members with tickets available on Friday, 13 March starting at 8 a.m at the Rush Rewards Center at Rivers Casino & Resort Schenectady.

Tuesday, 25 February and Wednesday, 26 February: Guests will be able to experience the amazing tastes of Mardi Gras during a spectacular Mardi Gras Cajun buffet. The expansive buffet features Cajun crawfish etouffee; jambalaya; fried catfish; chicken and sausage gumbo; cornbread; king cake and other delicious Cajun classics. The buffet will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on both days, with seating every 15 minutes. Tickets for adults are $30 plus tax and gratuity, $15 plus tax and gratuity for children ages 6-12, and children 5 and under are FREE.

Saturday, 7 March: It’s time for the ladies to gather some friends, throw on that little black dress, and hit the dance floor for the ultimate night out during The Little Black Dress Party! The party runs from 7 p.m. until 11 p.m. and features live entertainment with DJ K Stones, light bites and sweets, local vendors including Beekman 1802 who will be providing free samples, and more. Advance tickets are only $20 or $30 on the day of the event at the door.

Friday, 13 March: Rush Rewards guests will be able to experience an amazing tribute to the legendary Elton John with Yellow Brick Road. Featuring trained jazz pianist, Gerald Brann, this show is as close as you can get to an actual Elton John concert. Brann not only bears an uncanny resemblance to the international superstar, complete with his mannerisms and gap-toothed smile, but he meticulously recreates Elton John’s vocal stylings and piano playing to the letter. Fans can expect to hear Brann and his band perform John’s beloved classics including “Rocket Man,” “Candle in the Wind,” “Crocodile Rock,” “Saturday Night’s Alright For Fighting” and more. All Rush Rewards members may receive 1 complimentary ticket at the Rush Rewards Center on the day of the show starting at 8 a.m. Limited first-come, first-served seating will be available. Doors open at 7 p.m. and the show starts at 8 p.m. Guests must be 21+ to receive a ticket at the Rush Rewards Center.

Wednesday, 25 March: Fans of the fabulous surf sounds of the Beach Boys are in for a treat during the Still Surfin’ dinner show. Still Surfin’ features the incredible five-part harmonies, authentic costuming, choreography, and songs as performed by the original Beach Boys during their live shows in the 60’s. This fantastic show starts at 7 p.m and includes a delicious meal with an “I Get Around” Caprese salad; a “Good Vibrations” BBQ platter entrée (BBQ chicken, grilled corn, mac & cheese, grilled zucchini, cornbread and coleslaw); and a “Surfin’ USA” fruit tartlet for dessert. All dietary restrictions can be accommodated by request. Coffee, tea and soft drinks will also be served. Tickets are $30 and available at the Proctors Theater Box Office in Schenectady.
