Rivers Casino & Resort Schenectady announces January events and promotions2 January 2018(PRESS RELEASE) -- Rivers Casino & Resort Schenectady is launching into 2018 with a January full of events, giveaways and promotions. The action all month long will build toward the casino’s one-year anniversary and an unrivaled party in February. Rivers Casino & Resort will be the place to be on Martin Luther King Day weekend this year. On Sunday, 14 January, Rush Rewards guests have a chance to win up to $2,500 in cash with the Martin Luther King Day Drawings. Every hour from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., four players will be randomly chosen to receive $250 in Free Play. At 9 p.m., one lucky player will be chosen to receive a grand prize of $2,500 cash. Rush Rewards members will also receive free play and points promotions all weekend. Additional promotions and events include: Gaming Promotions and Giveaways – $80,000 Super Series Week – 8 January through 11 January is Super Series Week at Rivers Casino & Resort. Rush Rewards guests will have a chance to play a pop up game on slot machines for a chance to win up to $5,000 cash or free slot play, four times each day from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. $25,000 Cold Cash Hot Seats – One slot machine will be randomly chosen every 15 minutes from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays in January. The person using that slot machine will be surprised with balloons and $200 cash. Jackpot Winner Drawings – Guests who hit a jackpot on slots or video poker from 29 December through 25 January will earn an entry ticket for a chance to win up to $5,000 cash. On Sunday, 28 January from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., winners will be randomly chosen to win prizes ranging from $250 free slot play up to $5,000 cash. Tier Renewal Upgrade – On January 24, Rush Rewards players will have 24 hours to earn their way to a Rush Rewards tier upgrade. Guests can earn tier points from 6 a.m. to 5:59 a.m. on 25 January by playing slots or video poker. The top five Rush Rewards guests with the highest tier points will upgrade to preferred status, and the top five preferred guests with the highest tier points will upgrade to signature status. Winners will be announced at 10 a.m. on 25 January. One player will also be randomly chosen every hour from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. to automatically be upgraded to the next tier. New Year’s Day Hot Seats – On Monday, 1 January, four winners will be randomly chosen every hour from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. to win $218 in free slot play. Macy’s Gift Card Giveaway – Invited guests can visit a promotional kiosk on 13 January to swipe their card to choose either free slot play or a Macy’s gift card. Stewart’s Gift Card Giveaway – Invited guests can visit a promotional kiosk on 25 January to swipe their card to choose either free slot play or a Stewart’s gift card. Food and Beverage Senior Days – Young at Heart - On Mondays in January, from 6 a.m. to midnight, Rush Rewards members over the age of 55 will receive free valet parking, special entertainment at Van Slyck’s from 2 to 5 p.m., complimentary coffee at Villa Italia from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., and an all-you-can-eat soup and salad lunch special for $9.99 at Duke’s from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Rush Rewards members 55 and up will also have the chance to enter a True Time Slot Tournament between the hours of 10 and 6 for a chance to win up to $750 in free slot play — $2,500 in free slot play will be given out every Monday. Events & Entertainment Katie Manning Hilton – Psychic Medium – Psychic medium Katie Manning Hilton will be bringing her acclaimed show to the Rivers Casino Event Center on 19 January at 6 p.m. Tickets are available through the Proctors Theater Box Office and through riverscasinoandresort.com. Rush Rewards members can visit the Rush Rewards Center to receive one complimentary ticket. Rock On, Rivers! With Rock-aoke – Channel your inner rock star on Thursdays with Rock-aoke at Van Slyck’s entertainment lounge. This live band karaoke event features live music from The High Rollers, with Rivers guests on the vocals. Every Thursday, from 6 to 8 p.m. $1,000 All-In Trivia – It takes two brains to win the games. Trivia in Van Slyck’s entertainment lounge is on Wednesdays from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday and Monday Night Football – Guests can enjoy football on Sundays and Mondays in December at Van Slyck’s. Football specials will begin one hour before kick-off and will include $1 hot dogs, $2 domestic pints and $3 select imports. There is no cost to join Rush Rewards, and members earn points for their slot play and table game play by inserting their card into the slot machine or presenting it to table games dealers before starting the game. The more points earned, the more reward benefits members will receive. These include free play, food offers, entries into promotional drawings, discounted room rates, valet parking, personalized casino host services and much more. |
